Phoenix and Las Vegas Critics Go for Belfast; SEFCA Praises Power of the Dog


Three more critics groups have announced their annual awards today, with Phoenix and Las Vegas naming Kenneth Branagh's "Belfast" the best film of 2021. The former also gave it Best Original Screenplay and Best Male Youth Performance (Jude Hill), while the latter also gave it Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Ciarin Hinds), Best Original Screenplay (Branagh), and Best Performance By a Youth (Hill). Meanwhile, The Southeastern Film Critics Association awarded "The Power of the Dog" their top prize, as well as Best Director (Jane Campion), Best Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch), Best Supporting Actor (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Best Supporting Actress (Kirsten Dunst), and Best Adapted Screenplay (Campion).
