Film Nominations for the 34th Annual Producers Guild of America Awards
The Producers Guild of America has just announced their remaining film nominations for 2022. The only slight surprise to be found among the nominees for their top honor is "The Whale" (a fantastic film) given its less-than-stellar critical reaction, but it wasn't completely outside the realm of possibility.
As far as omissions go, it was a little surprising to see both "Women Talking" and "Aftersun" left out given how well they had been received. However, this remains a fierce battle between the two best films of the year, "The Banshees of Inisherin" and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" (with "The Fabelmans" looking to gain some some traction with the industry after its big win at the Golden Globes).
The winners will be announced on February 25th, but in the meantime, please see below for a list of today's nominees (including the previously-announced Documentary nominees):
