Film Nominations for the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

The nominations for the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have just been announced, and there were certainly some big surprises. Not particularly surprising though was seeing "The Banshees of Inisherin" and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" leading the way with five nominations each.

The biggest surprise here was the inclusion of Adam Sandler for Lead Actor for his performance in "Hustle." There had been a lot of speculation as to who would take that fifth slot, with Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise being likely candidates, but very few, if any, were expecting Sandler. Odd snubs included the omission of Michelle Williams for "The Fabelmans" (in favor of Ana de Armas for "Blonde"), a lack of individual nominations for "Women Talking" (which got a solo Cast nod), and a shut out for "Glass Onion" (replaced in Cast by "Babylon," which surprisingly had no individual nods). Even Stunts held several surprises, including a shocking snub for "Everything Everywhere All at Once," and a somewhat less surprising snub for "RRR" (and yet "The Batman" somehow punched its way into the category).

The winners will be revealed on February 26th, but in the meantime, please see below for a list of today's film nominees:
