Dunkirk Comes to Digital HD December 12th and Blu-ray/DVD December 19th

This past July, Christopher Nolan's latest opus, "Dunkirk," opened to astounding reviews. Telling the story of the brave soldiers who were trapped on Dunkirk beach in World War II and the desperate attempts to evacuate them, the film was strongly praised as an immersive experience with incredible visuals and special effects. While the story itself, as well as the characters, weren't quite up to par with its looks, the film still managed to garner an extraordinary 8.6/10 on Rotten Tomatoes based on 350 reviews and is thought to be one of the biggest contenders as we head into this year's awards season.

Today, Warner Bros. has unveiled the details for the film's home release, announcing that it will first be available on Digital HD on December 12th, followed by the 4K and Blu-ray/DVD releases on December 19th.

· Sea: Taking to the Sea

· Sea: Sinking the Ships

· Sea: The Little Ships

· Conclusion: Turning Up the Tension

· Conclusion: The Dunkirk Spirit

As one would hope, there's going to be plenty of "Making of" featurettes included on each release, covering all three narrative POVs of the film. It's a shame that we won't be getting a commentary from Nolan himself, but I think it's safe to assume that he will be featured prominently in most, if not all, of the 16 featurettes.

Again, those dates are December 12th for Digital HD and December 19th for 4K and Blu-ray/DVD, so if the film impressed you as it did most critics, be sure to take note so you can add it to your collection.
